I recently had the privilege of working with NYLUX Events to create custom cookies for a winter wonderland themed Bat Mitzvah. These designs are based on a logo created by the company for the event.
Thank you Cindy! I made a YouTube video on flooding cookies with royal icing if you're interested in seeing how I get it to be smooth: http://amberspiegel.blogspot.com/2012/01/flooding-technique-with-royal-icing.html
You have such great cookie style!! Do you have tips for the monogram lettering? Are you using a kopykake to help with these perfect letters? I saw your piping filling tutorial do you have any others? I would love to learn how you get your letters just rigt... p.s. u should publish a book of all your cookies. Most stylish I've seen. (and i spend most of my freetime looking at cookies) Also do u share recipes. I could spend hours looking at your pics but must go clean my house! :) Suzanne www.sweetsbysuz.blogspot.com www.facebook.com/sweetsbysuz
Thanks everyone! I actually do not own a Kopykake. On certain logos and designs I'll draw myself a template (edible markers come in very handy for this!) but most of my work is freehand.
Wow.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know how you get your icing so smooth...it's beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I am always so surprised by your amazing productions - by now, I should be used to seeing perfection.
