Bridal Show at The Lazy Swan

This past weekend was the bridal show at the Lazy Swan in Saugerties, New York, just a few miles away from my bakeshop. I created this cookie display for the show using foam core, Styrofoam, and gold wrapping paper. I covered all of the pieces of the display in ivory fondant and piped a shell border in royal icing and painted it gold. The topper is made of 5 cookies stuck together with icing to form a cube.

As you can see in this photo, I cut small triangles out of cookie dough and used them as stands for the square cookies.

The fancy square cookies were too heavy to be held up by the cookie stands, so I placed them on easels instead.

The cameo and the gold border are made from fondant.
