I made these cookies for a balloon themed party.
Here is a little tutorial:

Cut out a paper template and trace it onto the cookie using an edible ink marker.

Fill in the area around the balloon using thinned white icing and a tip 3.

Immediately fill in the balloon using thinned blue icing using a tip 3.

While the icing is still wet, pipe the reflections in the balloon using thinned
white icing and a tip 1.

Allow to dry overnight.
Pipe an outline using stiff red icing and a tip 2.

Add the balloon knot.
Yayyy!
These are just too cute! Such a simple idea, and yet everyone will want to have one at the party! Thanks for sharing your "how to"!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant - you make it look very simple but I'm sure it's not so easy to get such a crisp look to the detailing you you have achieved. Thanks so much for the step-by-step it's really useful for cookie decorating novices like me :o)
